Doris June Sossaman passed away in Bartlett, TN on November 2, 2022, at the age of 88. She was born in Parsons, TN on May 27, 1934. She was preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Adams, brother, Bobby Herndon, and children Doris Renee and John E. Jr. She is survived by her brother, Charles Herndon of Parsons, daughter, Leticia Celeste Sossaman (Mike Jones) of Bartlett, son, Dennis J. Sossaman (Glinda) of Memphis, six grandchildren (William "Billy", David, Charli, Robert, Andrew and James) whom she loved dearly, and her many friends at American House in Bartlett and extended family in Parsons. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 12 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd., Bartlett, TN 38133, with visitation at 1 p.m. and services at 2. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Leawood Baptist Church or a charity of your choice.
A gathering of family and friends for Doris will be held Saturday, November 12, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133. A celebration of life service will follow visitation at 2:00 PM. A committal service will follow at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens.
