A retired school teacher, Mrs. Dukes attended Quail Ridge Church of Christ.
Mrs. Dukes was proceeded in death by her husband Miron Dukes, as well as her son Robert Dukes. She was also proceeded by five brothers, Elmore, Virgil, Lawrence, Billy and Hermon, as well as two sisters Mamie and Louise.
Dorothy Marie is survived by two sons, Michael and Joseph Dukes and three grand-daughters and one grandson. She also leaves behind nine great grand children.
