

“Dot, Dottie”
Dot, a longtime resident of Millington Tennessee, went home to the Lord at age 74 on August 8th 2016 at 2:38pm.
Dot was born on November 11, 1941 to Arthur Richard Owens and Flora Beatrice (May) Owens in Keiser Arkansas. She grew up in the area of Corning Arkansas, and left school after completing the eighth grade to work to support her family. At the age of 16 she married Gordon Kellett. They spent many years as a Navy family eventually settling in Millington TN.
Dot and John Sitch were married in 1993. They lived in Millington TN until she was called home to the Lord.
Dot continued her education throughout her life. She received her GED in 1976, and went on to complete an H&R Block tax preparation course and earn her insurance license.
Dot had many occupations throughout her life. As a child in Arkansas, she worked picking cotton with her family. As she grew older, her workplaces included Ricky’s Fabrics (Pocahontas, AR), her own fabric store (Raveden Springs, AR), Mandarin Fried Chicken (Mandarin, FL), Rawls drug store (Millington, TN), and Rocky’s Discount Fabrics (Millington, TN). She retired from Jetway Insurance (Millington, TN), as a licensed insurance agent, after a 20 years of dedicated of service.
Dot spent the remainder of her life dedicating her time to her family. She helped to raise her Grandchildren and guide all of them by her strength and faith in Jesus Christ. Through her deeds and actions, she was the highest of example for all to follow.
Her passing was preceded by siblings Richard “Rick” Owens, James “Jimmy” Owens and Sandra “Sandy” Owens.
She is survived by siblings Alice Hughes, Anne Ladyman, Benny Owens, Connie Brown, Emily Miller and Brenda Curtis.

STEPSON: Bret Alan and Lori Sitch
GRANDDAUGHTER: Lori Nicole Sitch
GREAT-GRANDDAUGHTER: Alana VannBuran
STEPDAUGHTER: Kimberly Ann (Sitch) and husband Jason MacLennan
GRANDSON: Langston MacLennan
Dot is also remembered through numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
