Dorris, 92, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 23 with her family by her side. Dorris was born on February 2, 1931 in Memphis, TN to August and Goldie Bryson Temple. She was a lifetime Memphian and a graduate of Humes High School Class of 1949.
Dorris was a faithful member of several churches including Dellwood Baptist, Ardmore Baptist and Georgian Hills Baptist. She worked for First National Bank, Hawkins Equipment and retired from National Bank of Commerce. She lived in her home for 62 years until moving in with her daughter and son-n-law 7 years ago. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Nancy, and her brother Walter Lee. She is survived by her daughter Julie Russell (Jimmy), and Julie's father Ed Manker (92), granddaughters Jennifer Bernero and Karen Recarte, great-grandchildren Peyton Bishop, Victor and James Recarte. She also leaves behind her niece, Susan Anderson (Mike) and her family, Ryan Anderson, Mallory Sigler (Casey), Owen and Anderson Sigler. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
