Eric C. James, 53, of Cordova, TN, passed away Jan. 16, 2013, after a hard fought battle with myelofibrosis. Born in Jonesboro, AR he lived in the Cordova, Memphis area for 44 years. He enjoyed running his local small business and was an avid outdoorsman involved in hunting and fishing. He was a graduate of Towering Oaks High School and State Technical Institute in Memphis. Eric loved to train hunting dogs and assist his daughter in horse training. He was a friend to many people and was always willing to help in a time of need. Eric was loved by many and will be truly missed by all. He is survived by his wife, Leeya James; his daughters, Hillarie James and Hannah James, his mother, Hazel Gardner his brother, Phil James and a niece, Christine James. He was preceded in death by his sister, Marcia Hermann and his stepfather, Bill Gardner. Visitation: Saturday, Jan. 19th from 5-7 p.m. Funeral: Sunday, Jan. 20th at 2:00 p.m. Visitation and Funeral to be held at Memphis Funeral Home: 3700 N.
