Eric was born January 6, 1968 in Cleveland Ohio. He passed away on Thursday, December 12th 2019. He moved with his family to Memphis in early childhood. He attended Raleigh-Bartlett Meadows Elementary then Craigmont Junior/Senior High & graduated in 1986.
He is survived by his brother, Walter Thompson (Lorelie), his nieces Sharmae Lucido and Janine Fluharty.
His personality would light up an area and was beloved by anyone he came in contact with. He was always laughing, whether it would be an action, storytelling or one of his corny jokes. He would help anyone he could no matter the circumstances. If you met him once, you were a friend for life.
He was a joy to his family and they always treasured their time together when visiting.
He was an avid BMX rider, on & off-road motorbike enthusiast and loved his cars/trucks and was an avid member of the local Memphis Classic Chevy Car Club. He was involved at Theatre Memphis as a crew member in various forms in the 80’s into the early 2000’s. He attended church with family in his younger years at Bartlett United Methodist.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation www.crohnscolitisfoundation.org or www.memphisclassicchevy.com. Eric was very involved with this club and they hold several charitable events throughout the year.
