

Forest Stanley Hill, 90, of Olive Branch, MS passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 9,2026. Born June 3,1935, in Booneville, Mississippi, Forest was the son of the late Carl Jackson and Gladys (Downs) Hill. On May 17, 1959, in Crenshaw, MS, he married the love of his life, Elizabeth Ann Harpole. After nearly 66 years of joy, companionship, and support for one another, she preceded him in death on March 24, 2025.
Forest was a proud graduate from Wheeler High School, Prentiss County, Mississippi and later attended Northeast Community College. He also continued his education through online classes in business that reflected a commitment to learning and self-improvement. This dedication carried into his professional life, including work with Dixie Office Supply and many years managing rental properties with his wife. Forest was known for a strong work ethic and patience.
Forest also proudly served in the Army Reserves, demonstrating a sense of duty and commitment to serving his county.
Forest was a devoted Baptist and a faithful follower of Christ throughout his life. He found great comfort, guidance, and joy in reading and studying Scripture. His spiritual journey included membership in many churches over the years, with the most recent being Longview Heights Baptist Church, Olive Branch, MS
Outside of work and service, he found a great joy in fishing and hunting. These were not just hobbies to Forest; they were traditions he proudly passed down to his children and grandchildren. He also found joy in Memphis sports and followed both teams faithfully from home. Whether it was a Tigers football game or a Grizzlies matchup, he rarely missed a chance to watch, cheer, and stay connected to the action. Above all, Forest cherished his time spent with Ann, his partner in life. He also took immense pride in his family, especially his four sons.
Forest is survived by his four sons, Paul (Debbie ) of Terre Haute, IN, David (Brenda) of West Palm Beach, FL, Keith (Gladys) of Memphis, TN, and Jason (Jessica) of Lamar, MS. 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Debbie (Kenneth) Bishop of Booneville, MS; several brothers and sisters-in-law as well as nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Maxine Boozer and Ruby Harris; brother, Nelson, along with numerous brothers and sisters-in-law.
A visitation for Forest will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, from 9:00AM to 10:00AM at the Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133 with his funeral immediately following at 10:00AM and graveside at 11:00AM also at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the donor’s choice.
