Gary Victor Lowery Sr.

Gary was born September 8, 1938, in Brunswick TN, the son of the late Clarence Pasco Lowery Sr and Ruby Babb Lowery. He graduated from Bolton High School in 1956 and married the love of his life on February 1, 1958. Gary was employed with Bellsouth Telephone Company and retired after 44 ½ years of service.

Gary was a faithful member of several churches; Brunswick Baptist, Rosemark Baptist, Bellevue Baptist and most recently with Faith Baptist Church Bartlett. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He spent many years supporting his grandkids. He was always there to support them in their sporting and school events. He also spent many years coaching baseball and mentoring young people and reminding them no matter what they did to “always have fun”. Coach Lowery, as he was affectionately known, was loved and respected by his players as well as their families.

Mr. Lowery is survived by his wife of 67 ½ years, Diane Seward Lowery of Arlington TN; his son Gary Victor (Vic) Lowery, Jr (Mary) of Fairfield Bay, AR; his daughter Anita Lowery Henderson (Ronnie) of Bartlett TN; his grandsons, Kyle Lowery, Ryan (Grace) Henderson, Blake (Carissa) Henderson; his granddaughters, Megan (Nathan) Edwards, Amanda (Benjamin) Young; his great grands, Sutton, Baylor, Marleigh, Calli, Briley, Sloane, Stella, Cooper, Tate, Luka, Tripp & Sophia. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Gene Lowery and Pasco Lowery and his sister June Armour.

Funeral arrangements are as follows: November 8th, 2025 - Visitation 9:00 – 11:00am and Service at 11:00am at Faith Baptist Church Bartlett followed by graveside service at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Kyle Lowery, Ryan Henderson, Blake Henderson, Nathan Edwards, Benjamin Young and Jeff Eason.
