Born on May 27, 1941, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Jeri lived a life marked by deep faith, unwavering devotion to her family, and a joyful spirit that touched all who knew her. A devoted Christ-follower, she loved her Savior Jesus Christ and served Him joyfully throughout her life. Her faith was the foundation of everything she did and shone brightly through her words and actions.
Jeri was a dedicated and loving wife and a nurturing mother to three beautiful children. Her legacy continues through ten cherished grandchildren and thirteen wonderful great-grandchildren. Though her heart carried the sorrow of loss, she found peace in the promise of eternal life with her Lord and Savior. Welcoming her home in glory are her beloved daughter Karen Lee Jones, grandson Jacob Robert Lee Bernard, and great-grandson Wilder LeeRoy Honey.
She is also lovingly remembered by her sister, Sharon Frase.
A long-time member of Cherry Road Baptist Church, Jeri faithfully taught Sunday School for 40 years. Her service to her church community was wholehearted and enduring—a reflection of the deep love she held for others and for God’s word.
Jeri’s talents were as abundant as they were varied. She loved spending time with family and friends and expressed herself beautifully through watercolor painting, crocheting, smocking and sewing, quilting, gardening, pottery-making, cooking, and decorating—especially at Christmas. Whatever she set her hands to do, she did with excellence and joy.
Her wisdom was a radiant glow that warmed those around her. Whether serving her family or community or simply sharing a kind word or thoughtful gesture, Jeri lived with purpose and grace.
May her memory and faith bring comfort to those who knew and loved her. She was a perfect example of a Proverbs 31 woman.
