

Geren “Cecil” Williams, 63, of Olive Branch, passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2011. He was a graduate of St. Joseph Catholic School in Greenville, MS and was a member of the Masons, Scottish Rite and the Shriners; was Master of his lodge for two years and was actively serving as treasurer and was a Potentate’s Aide. He received his Knight Commander of the Court of Honor and was Shrine Director for five years. He also served with the 173rd Airborn division of the US Army in Vietnam and was a member of Hope Baptist Church in Olive Branch. Mr. Williams was the owner of Elite Roofing Company, Inc. and was an avid fisherman. Mr. Williams, the husband of Donna Jo Williams, also leaves a daughter, Ashlie Moore; a son, Timmy Williams, both of Olive Branch; two brothers, Marty and Michael O’Connor, both of Greenville, MS and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Lee Williams. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Monday evening, May 16 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd. A short Eulogy service with Masonic Rites will be at 8 p.m. following the visitation. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 17 at Memphis Memory Gardens.
