Goetz Wilhelm Stobbe died peacefully surrounded by family last Saturday. From when he was born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada on October 25, 1961, to when he died in Memphis, TN on August 25, 2018, he lived a life full of adventure and fun. He moved to the United States in 1991 and married Jody Stobbe that September. They had his only two children, Jennifer and Sarah, who are now ages 20 and 17. He held a background in chemical engineering, and most recently held a position as Paper Machine Supervisor at Cascades Tissue in Memphis. He loved to watch NASCAR, walk his dogs, go to the shooting range, and watch his daughters play sports as they grew up. He always reminded his daughters how loved they were and how proud he was of them. He will be remembered as a loving father, brother and friend. He is survived by two daughters, Jennifer and Sarah, of Arlington, TN, a sister, Henriette Prosper, her husband Rob Prosper, and their children, Michael and Samantha, of Kemptville, Ontario, Canada. A visitation will be held at Memphis Funeral Home, 3700 N. Germantown Road in Bartlett, TN on August 30, 2018 from 5-7pm.
