

She was born on June 25th, 1942, in Vera Cruz, Mexico to Juan and Alma (Hernandez) Luna. She captured the attention of a Sailor on his third time travelling around the globe with the U.S. Navy. She married Donald L. Norton on October 16th, 1963. She worked various factory jobs until 2001 and joined her husband, Don, in retirement. She loved to crochet, complete word search puzzles and always ensured guests were well fed. She liked to listen to the Platters and was a good dancer.
Surviving are her eldest daughter, Melanie (Jay) Ha’o of Bartlett, TN; son, Donald Jr (Raquel) Norton of Bartlett, TN; youngest daughter, Libby (John) Stevenson of Imperial, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Cassandra, William, Serafina, Zaylah, Donald III, Quinnton, and Devon; and sisters, Guadalupe Frias of Tijuana, Mexico, and Julia Hernandez Luna of Vera Cruz, Mexico.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Efrain, Juan and Delfino Luna and sister, Graciela Spera, as well as, three brothers in law, James Schierland, Gene Sr. and Lewis Norton and two sisters in law, Marilyn Norton and Kaye McGuffin.
Due to COVID 19 restrictions at the time of her passing, there wasn’t a viewing.
Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens handled the arrangements.
