H. Eugene Scudder, 77, of Cordova, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday, January 23, 2014. He was a graduate of Byars Hall in Covington, TN, member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, member of the Unity Lodge Shrine, where he was a former captain of the Provost Guard and was a board member at the Shrine School. Mr. Scudder leaves his loving wife of 38 years, Marty Scudder; his two beloved daughters, Melissa D. (Darrell) McGuary of Hernando, MS and Nikki Scudder of Memphis; a brother, Michael Scudder, also of Memphis; two grandsons, Hunter McGuary and Mason Cole; and two granddaughters, Layla Harvey and Lillian Cole. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eldred Scudder and a sister, Barbara Shaw. His celebration of life service will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, January 26 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd.
