Harold A. Smith, Jr., 62, of Millington, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2011. He was a US Navy veteran, member of Forest View Church of Christ and was retired from the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department. Mr. Smith, the husband of Ann Smith, also leaves his son, Cory D. Smith of Clayton, N.C.; sister, Dulcie Hall of High Point, N.C.; brother, Lanny K. Smith of Richmond, VA; two grandsons, Michael Owens and Cetan Merzlak; and a granddaughter, Garland Owens. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Friday, April 29 at Forest View Church of Christ with visitation beginning at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd.
