Harry Lewis Yelverton, Jr. 79, passed away Monday, December 13, 2011 at his Memphis home. Harry was born in Mercer, TN May 22, 1932 to Harry L. and Mary Overton Yelverton. Harry was a retired Service Manager for A.M. International. He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Betty; four children, Danny Yelverton, Larry Yelverton, Melody Yelverton, and Tonya Yelverton-Babb; seven grandchildren, Brooks Yelverton, Justin Yelverton, Emeri Sorrells, Buffy Polinski, Jodi Yelverton, Harry Babb and Maleah Babb; and six great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens at 3700 N. Germantown Parkway, Bartlett on Thursday, December 15, 2011 beginning at 12:30. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at Memorial Gardens (formerly Memory Hill Gardens). The family requests that memorials be sent to Baptist Trinity Home Health Care or Baptist Trinity Hospice.
