After returning to Memphis, Ray worked for Belz Construction Company for several years before retiring. Ray was an active member of First Evangelical Church, and he strived each day to strengthen his lifelong faith in God and Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. Serving the Lord with his love, faith, prayers, kindness, and Bible studies and teachings was Ray’s pleasure. Ray leaves behind Marie, his loving wife of 43 years, his two children, Richard J. Gill and Grace Loggins, and his two beloved grandchildren, Walker and Charles Loggins, all of Memphis. He also leaves two sisters, Sarah G.
