IRENE OELSEN NEIER passed away February 27, 2012. She was born December 29, 1914 to Anna Blankenship Oelsen and James Arthur Oelsen near Ironton, Missouri. She is survived by her husband, Raymond Neier of Bartlett; daughters, Tammy Little (Jim) of Houston, Texas and Amy Halbrooks (Ricky) of Memphis, and grandchildren, Harrison and Victoria Little and Troy Halbrooks and sister, Olga Tiller (Jim) of St. Louis, Missouri. Other survivors include half sisters, Mary Hudson of Blytheville, AR and Lilly McKinney of Jonesboro, AR and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by brothers, Orville, Ormand and Thomas, and sisters, Anita, Ruth, Florence, and Mildred. Irene was a communicant of St. Ann Catholic Church in Bartlett. The family will receive friends Friday, March 2 from 5-7 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Parkway, with Rosary at 7 p.m. A funeral mass will be at St. Ann Bartlett Chapel, Saturday, March 3 at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Memorial Gardens (formerly Memory Hill Gardens).
