Jack was truly a “Hail Fellow Well Met”—famous for always having a joke to tell.
Jack’s lengthy life included a career as a manufacturer’s representative (food broker,) a highly active member of First Baptist Church- Memphis, and a marshal at Miramichi Golf Course- Millington.
As a World War II veteran, Jack was most proud of his decade of service as a fundraiser and board member of Forever Young—a non-profit veterans’ organization—known for returning veterans to former battlegrounds ranging from Europe to the Pacific as well as for trips to the war memorials of Washington. D.C.
Jack is survived by his two sons, A.C. and Jack Jr. and was predeceased by his wife, LoRene.
Jack’s family will host funeral services on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at 1:00pm preceded by visitation at 12 Noon and followed by a graveside service with military honors at 2:00pm. Visitation, funeral, and graveside service will be at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens-Bartlett, 3700 N. Germantown Pkwy., Bartlett, TN.
