

James W. Baum, of Germantown, TN, passed away October 3, 2016; he was 71. Jimmy (frequently called “Baum”) leaves his wife, Kaye, of 49 years, his brother, Elbert Baum (Diane) of Covington, Roselyn Cowan, sister-in-law, Marty Overton and Larry Overton, brothers-in-law. He was “Uncle Jimmy” to a host of beloved nieces, nephews and many other loved ones. Jimmy was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Gossett, his brother, Lloyd J. Baum, brother, Oscar Baum, his parents, Lloyd and Alcia Baum, his brothers-in-law, James E. Cowan and Danny Overton. Jimmy was very involved with the following: the Mid-South Transplant Foundation after receiving a lung transplant in 2010 and 2011, the Methodist Men's Club, Masonic Lodge #152 where he was a past Grand Worshipful Master, the Scottish Rite, Al Chymia Shriners, and was an avid UT fan. Services will be held Friday, October 7, 2016 at Collierville United Methodist Church, 494 W Poplar Avenue, Collierville, TN; visitation will be from 10:00am until the time of service at 11:30. Burial services will be at Memphis Memorial Gardens, 3700 N Germantown Road, Bartlett, TN.
