James Edwin DeHority, 90, of Bartlett, TN retired insurance executive for several major insurance companies passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2016.James was born in Detroit, MI in 1925 and moved to Elwood, IN, where he spent his childhood. He served in the U. S. Navy during WWII and attended Indiana University. James was a faithful member of Messiah Lutheran Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years Rosemary, his three children James Michael DeHority, Richard Edwin DeHority (Judy), Ruth Baldauf (Bruce), six grandchildren Heather Khalaf, Rachel Stevens, Kelli Anderson, Megan Miller, Dr. Emily DeHority, Robert DeHority and six great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, January 19, 2016, at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd., Bartlett, TN 38133. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on, Wednesday, January 20, 2016, at Messiah Lutheran Church 3743 Austin Peay, Memphis, TN , In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Messiah Lutheran Church.
