James R. Shearon, 79, retired Memphis firefighter, passed away on January 17, 2015. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 48 years, Betty R. Shearon and son, Russell D. Shearon. He is leaving behind two daughters, Pamela L Taylor and JoAnn Landers. He was the proud grandfather of five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He also leaves a sister Mary Ann Harrison and former son-in-law, John T. Landers. Family asks that donations be made to Methodist Hospice Residence, 6416 Quince Rd, Memphis, TN 38119 in his memory in lieu of flowers. The funeral service will be Monday, January 19 at 10am at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd, Bartlett, TN 38133 with a visitation one hour prior.
