Jean Frances Walker Donati

Jean Frances Walker Donati, 74, of Cordova passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Methodist Hospice House-Memphis. She was a retired school teacher from the City of Memphis School System with over 36 years of service. Jean had 45 hours above her Master’s Degree in Administration and Education, achieved the highest teaching honor in the public school teaching career ladder level three as well as assisted in developing the curriculum for the State of Tennessee Education System. Mrs. Donati was also a member of St. Louis Catholic Church and was former president of The Madonna Circle. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Ralph William Donati, Sr; sons, Ralph William Donati, Jr (Leslie) of Collierville and Bryan Peter Donati (Katie) of Germantown; granddaughters, Rachael and Rebecca Donati of Collierville; nieces, Susan Sanders (Jim) of Somerville, TN and Jennifer Goepper (Carl) of Tampa, FL. The family will receive friends beginning at 5:00 p.m. until the time of the rosary service at 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN. A celebration of funeral mass will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at St. Louis Catholic Church, 203 S. White Station Rd, Memphis, TN with Msgr. John B. McArthur as the Celebrant. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be sent to St. Louis Catholic Church, Madonna Circle, Monastery of St. Clare or the charity of donor’s choice.
