JoAnne graduated from Tupelo High School, marking the first of many accomplishments in her life.
At eighteen, JoAnne married Larry, and together they had two sons, Brian and Jason. After ten years, the marriage ended, but JoAnne continued to be a devoted mother. In 2001, JoAnne’s life took another difficult turn when she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Despite the challenges, JoAnne faced her condition with unwavering strength. Her loyal Yorkie, Cassie, was a constant comfort during the toughest times, offering companionship and solace, who passed on as well. Currently her cat Finn, stayed by her side. Though she was confined to a wheelchair for a period, JoAnne’s determination, physical therapy, and prayer helped her regain mobility, and she eventually experienced only occasional "flares."
JoAnne was a devoted member of both Bartlett Woods Church of Christ and Sycamore View Church of Christ, where she found community and spiritual support throughout her life.
Her family was always her greatest joy. JoAnne is survived by her sons, Brian and Jason, as well as her granddaughters, Katie and Maddie. Her legacy of love, strength, and faith will live on through them.
