Joan Walters Lee, 71, of Eads, passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at Methodist Hospital, Germantown, TN. She was born on August 12, 1939 in Vardaman, MS, retired from Nationwide Insurance and was a member of Fisherville Baptist Church in Fisherville, TN. Mrs. Lee, the widow of Earl D. Lee, is survived by her two sons, Anthony Lee of Bartlett and David Lee of West Palm Beach, FL; mother, Orene Walls Walters of Calhoun City, MS; brother, Darrel Walters (Pam) of Hideaway, TX; two sisters, Sandra Hendrix of Holly Springs, MS and Jan Coker (Jimmy) of Calhoun City, MS. She was also preceded in death by her father, Herman D. Walters. The family will receive friends this evening, Friday, June 24 from 5-7 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 25 at the funeral home with interment to follow in Memorial Gardens, Formerly Memory Hill Gardens.
