John Hanser Coombs

John Hanser Coombs, 63, of Lakeland, TN passed away at his residence Wednesday, April 8, 2015. He was the owner and manager of the Rising Signs commercial sign company in Memphis, was a graduate of Hillcrest High School – Memphis and attended Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. Mr. Coombs was a longtime member of Bellevue Baptist Church. Recently attending High Point Church where he taught Sunday School. He has been involved in the JIFF Ministry as well as Youth for Christ. Mr. Coombs was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward David Coombs of Memphis; and is survived by his wife of 12 years, Lee-Ann Coombs of the home; daughters, Mary Nell Coombs, Chelsea Jackson, Alicia Jackson and Bethany Jackson all of Memphis; sons, Johnathan and Will Coombs both of Memphis; siblings, David Coombs (Cheryl) of Collierville, TN, Steve Coombs (Christy) of Columbia, SC and Mary Ellen Foley (Ron) of Martin, TN. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until service at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 10, 2015 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd., Bartlett, TN.
