John Hannahan

John T. Hannahan, 84, of Cordova, passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kathryn Burke Hannahan and Michael Edward Hannahan, and his brother, William Hannahan. Mr. Hannahan is survived by, his loving wife of 59 years, Mary Joan Gallagher Hannahan, his children, Nora (Robert) Tabor of Arlington, TN., Mary Eileen Hannahan of Ashland, KY., Monica (Joseph) Faquin of Memphis, TN., Timothy (Andrea) Hannahan of Maineville, OH., David Hannahan of Syracuse, NY., Steven (Debbie) Hannahan of Memphis, TN., and Christopher (Promela) Hannahan of Arlington, TN., grandchildren, John Joseph Reaves of Lexington, KY., Kathryn Reaves of Lexington, KY., Daniel Reaves of Ashland, KY., David Reaves of Ashland, KY., Amanda Erin Hannahan of Arlington, TN., Sean Hannahan of Memphis, TN., Andrew Faquin of Memphis, TN., Emily Faquin of Memphis, TN., Amy Hannahan of Syracuse, NY., Megan Hannahan of Syracuse, NY., and Jake Hannahan of Syracuse, NY. Mr. Hannahan graduated from Catholic Central High School in Springfield, OH. in 1946. On May 9, 1953, he married his wife at St. Joseph Catholic Church, also in Springfield. He served in the U.S. Army for a short time and later worked for Robbins and Myers also in Springfield, OH. He later transferred to the Hunter Fan Division in 1977 and retired from there in 1991 as Plant Manager. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN. or a charity of the donor’s choice. There will be a memorial service on Tuesday, November 20, at 10:30 am with a visitation starting one hour prior to service at St. Francis of Assisi, 2100 North Germantown Parkway, Cordova.
