John Peter La Velle, 82 of Cordova, Tennessee passed away peacefully after a long struggle with cancer surrounded by his entire family on Saturday, December 25, 2010. He was a communicant of Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. John retired from Armstrong World Industries and was a proud veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Army. John was a devoted husband to his wife, Helen Doran La Velle for 54 years. He also leaves daughters Kye Bargiachi and Jane Keough, sons Michael and Pete and their families. Visitation will be held at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church Thursday December 30th at 9:00am with a rosary. Mass will begin at 10:00am.
