Johnny Mitchell Hays, 58 of Bartlett, loving husband, father and Popa, passed away September 8, 2012. Johnny was a charter member of Faith Baptist Church and a member of Bates Sunday School class. He was retired from MLGW, worked with Tyco Electronics and was an avid golfer. Johnny is survived by his wife of 39 years, Vickie Vanderford Hays; daughters Cortney Wells (Dale) and their children Ryan, Eason and Zachary; Kelly Fondren (Terry) and their children Hayden and Jacob; mother-in-law, Edith Vanderford; father, Roy F. Hays; brothers, Kenny Hays (Ann) of Memphis, Eddy Hays (Peggy) of Bartlett, Robby Hays (Tammy) of Arlington; brother-in-law Micheal Vanderford; sister-in-law Diane Brewer and several nieces, nephews, family and friends. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 11 from 5-8 pm at Faith Baptist Church on Germantown Rd. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, September 12 at 1 pm at Faith Baptist Church with burial to follow in Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens on Germantown Road.
