Judith Kay Pennington, born Judith Kay Edwards on Dec 18, 1955 to Haywood and Rebecca Edwards. She was the youngest of 4 sisters Jan, Diane, and Lynn. Raised in Vermilion, Ohio, she moved to Memphis, Tennessee in 1975 where she met her future husband Bobbie J. Pennington; they were married in 1978. They had two sons Tommy and Justin and were married 44 years; she was a beloved wife and mother. In 1986 she started her career as a hairdresser, where she made many friends, whom she loved dearly.
Her motto could have been "a stranger is just a friend I haven't met yet" (Wally Funk). Kay passed away Jan 14, 2026 at the age of 70. She is survived by her two sons and her sisters Jan and Lynn. She was loved and we will miss her.
A visitation will be held on January 21, 2026, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, located at 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133.
The funeral service will follow on the same day, January 21, 2026, at 10:00 am, at the same venue.
A graveside service will be held immediately following the service, at Memorial Gardens, also located at 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133.
