LH Brewer, Jr. was born in Lynn, Mississippi on January 8, 1941 and passed away peacefully in his home on November 27, 2020. He is preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Luther Harrison Brewer and Allie Beatrice Scallion Brewer, his son, Stephen Lee Brewer, his granddaughter, Corey Lyn Brewer and 2 sisters.
He grew up with 13 brothers and sisters in a loving and faith-filled home and accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. LH’s immediate family includes his wife of 60 years, Dorothy Fay Hoard Brewer, his son, David Brewer (Sandy), his daughter, Cindy Brewer Migliore (Mike), his grandchildren: Lindsey Hensley (Josh); Kelsey Migliore; Alex Smith (Todd); Cody Migliore and Reese Brewer; and his great-grandchildren: Madilynn Smith and Lyla Smith.
LH was a smart businessman who was very honest and trustworthy. He was highly respected by everyone. He had a strong work ethic that started at a very early age. He was a wonderful provider for his family. He had a wonderful sense of humor, fun personality and always had a joke to tell. He was a friendly man who never met a stranger. His hobbies included: sports, racing, Westerns, music, restoring antique cars and cooking. He loved animals. LH loved his family, and he was very close to all of them. His grandchildren’s fondest memories of him are his storytelling, how he attended all their events and how he was always available for them. He was so proud of all his grandchildren and their accomplishments. He was a warm, loving and caring man, who loved the Lord. He was a man of great stature who had a calming and comforting sense to those around him. He set a good example and instilled wonderful values into his children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed. He was a great man.
The family will receive friends from 12pm until service time at 2pm, on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Parkway Bartlett, TN 38133.
