Lucile McCreight, 90, of Mudville, passed away December 27, 2011. Lucile was a member of Pleasant Union Cumberland Presbyterian Church since August 14, 1943 and was very active in the Women’s Ministry. She was a secretary/bookkeeper for Paul Barrett, Jr. and retired secretary from the Shelby County Schools in 1994. She was also a member of the Eastern Star. Lucile was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow W. McCreight. She is survived by her daughter, Judy Gupton (Leland); son, Wayne McCreight (Diane); sisters, Mae Baskin, Virginia Rose, Dot Smith; brothers, Danny Wallace, Billy Wallace, Bob Wallace, Jr.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 30, from 10 a.m. until service time at 12 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home And Memorial Gardens on Germantown Road.
