Marie Ann McFall, age 83, of Collierville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on August 15, 1942, in Weakley County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of Hancle and Jessie Turner and the beloved sister of Bettye Hanks.
Marie was a woman of deep Christian faith, a devoted wife, a godly mother, and a loving grandmother and great-grandmother. Her life was marked by quiet strength, unwavering dedication, and a heart for service.
After growing up on her family’s farm, where she learned the value of hard work and perseverance, Marie moved to Memphis following high school to attend Draughon's Business School. She later worked at Baddour Wholesales, affectionately known as "Fred’s Dollar Store"
In November of 1964, Marie married the love of her life, Phillip T. McFall. Together they raised two daughters, Phyllis Kelton (Barry) and Sheila Pike (Jimmy), whom she supported wholeheartedly in every endeavor. Whether it was school events, church activities, or sporting events across the country, Marie was there—often behind the wheel of her Suburban, faithfully driving her family wherever they needed to be.
Marie was a lifelong servant in her church, devoted to mission work, and senior ministry. Whether it was rain or snow, if the church doors were open, she made sure her family was there. She lived her faith daily, not just in words but in actions—showing compassion, offering encouragement, and extending grace to everyone she met. Her kindness, humility, and love for the Lord touched many lives.
She also found joy in creating and sharing handmade crafts, a tradition that brought happiness to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She poured her heart into each craft, just as she did in every relationship she nurtured.
Marie is survived by her husband of nearly 61 years, Phillip; her daughters, Phyllis Kelton (Barry) and Sheila Pike (Jimmy); her grandchildren, Taylor Kelton (Ashley), McKenzie Foerster (Price), Grant Kelton (Rachel), Madi Ponder (Grayson), Lauren Pike, and Landon Pike (Bailey); and her great-grandchildren, Josiah, Addison, Jackson, Hannah, and Caroline Kelton and one baby boy Foerster on the way. She is also survived by her sister, Bettye Hanks (Lucky) of Memphis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hancle and Jessie Turner, and her brothers, H.J. and David Turner.
The McFall, Kelton, and Pike family extend heartfelt thanks for the outpouring of love through calls, texts, visits, and prayers during this time of loss. Your kindness has been a great comfort.
Marie’s legacy of love, faith, and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched. Her life was a blessing, and her memory will be cherished forever.
