

Marshall was born in Humboldt, TN on April 3, 1937. He went to Gibson high school where he found his love for basketball. He moved to Memphis, Tn to attend Memphis State. While at Memphis State, he was a member of the Kappa Alpha Fraternity where he met many of his lifelong friends. His life really began the day he met his wife, Mary Alice.
Marshall worked as a draftsman for an architect firm in Memphis. He then changed careers to working for US Gypsum, Flintkote, and Georgia Pacific where he worked in sales. When he wasn't working, he was coaching basketball at St. Ann - Bartlett.
Marshall enjoyed his life by spending time reading, watching the Cardinals play baseball, watching Memphis in football and basketball, spending time with family and friends, coaching his kids, and supporting his children and grandchildren in all activities.
Marshall was preceded in death by his parents, Maxie and Jewel Dunn of Gibson, TN; his beloved wife, Mary Alice Gaia Dunn.
Marshall leaves behind his son, Mitchell Dunn of Memphis, Tn; his daughter, Michelle Dunn Leary of Cordova, TN; four grandchildren, Morgan Curle, Mitch Dunn, Jr., Max Dunn, and McKay Dunn. He also leaves his sister, Peggy Dunn Davie of Riner, Va.; several nieces, nephews.
Marshall was a loving, patient, and honest husband and father who will be greatly missed.
