Greatly beloved by her family, she leaves behind, in addition to her parents: aunt Tamela Laxton, aunt Cathy Sanford (Michael), aunt Linda Brown (Dennis), cousin Bianca Brown, cousin Marcus Sanford, cousin Sheri Marinovich (Chris), and cousin James Hoffman.
She is predeceased by her grandparents, William and Lena Horn and Bobby and Marie Laxton, as well as her cousin, Jamie Brown.
Megan graduated from Bartlett High School, Paul Mitchell The School, and Gould’s Academy. Bright and outgoing, she loved people, especially older people, and she was one of her grandmother’s caregivers. Animals were her great love and she had recently been hired as a veterinary technician, which overjoyed her. Although she loved all animals, dogs and horses were her heart. She rescued dogs and cats throughout her lifetime.
As a young girl, she won a Bill Dance youth fishing contest and fishing continued to bring her enjoyment. Growing up, Megan would write poetry and was a storyteller. She had a curious mind. She was a true fashionista, loving bohemian clothes and jewelry, hair styling and cosmetics. New Hope Church of the Nazarene was her church home.
Her parents and family are heartbroken.
