MICHAEL ALFRED DAUGHERTY, 70, of Cumming, GA, lived a purposeful life and went home to be with the Lord on his Birthday, September 13, 2012. Mike touched many lives with his kindness and humor. He had a servant’s heart and enjoyed working with several Christian ministries including: There Is Hope, Gideon International, and The Great Banquet. He was a Navy Veteran. Mike was preceded in death by his father, Frank Daugherty; mother, Janie Daugherty Morgan; stepfather, E. Morgan; and his brother, Robert Daugherty. Mike is survived by his wife, Charline Daugherty of Cumming, GA; his children, Michelle Weiser and Charles Daugherty; his son and daughter-in-law, Shawn Weiser and Pam Daugherty; and his five grandsons: Landon and Kellan Weiser, and Nick, Noah, and Jonah Daugherty. The family will receive friends beginning at 12 p.m. Monday, September 17 and the funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens on Germantown Road in Bartlett, TN.
