Nell Elizabeth Decker

Nell Elizabeth Olita Decker was born on November 10, 1928 to parents Charles Olita and Katie Bell Olita in Memphis, TN. Nell passed away Sunday November 23, 2025 at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, TN. She attended Treadwell High School class of 1946. Nell worked at General Electric Company and had a distinguished career before retiring many years later in January of 1989. Nell was married to her husband of 64 years, Burnan B. Decker, until his passing in 2019 at the age of 91. She was a long-time member of Central Church and had a deep faith of God and Christ. She was an avid sports lover that loved watching the Memphis Tigers football and basketball games. Nell was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Nell is preceded in death by her husband Burnan B. Decker, sister Ann Kimbrell, brother Charles Olita, brother Glenn Olita, and son Charles William Dye. She is survived by her sister in law Beth Childress, sister in law Dorlene Lamb, son Robert Dye, daughter in law Michelle Dye, grandchildren Scott, Amy, Kelly, Chris, Jeanie, Chris, Cullen, and Casey, and 7 great grandchildren.

A visitation for Nell Decker will be held Tuesday December 2, 2025 at 1pm at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133 followed by a graveside service at 2pm.
