

Nina Preston Ross, EDD, THD, was born in Pelkin, IL, August 19, 1931, and passed away in Memphis, TN on March 27, 2015. She is survived by her husband, Paul E. Ross; their three children: Beck Ross McRae of Memphis; Penny Ross-Corona (Joe) of St. Louis, MO; Paul Preston Ross (Jan) of Memphis; three brothers: MacKenzie Preston, Pontiac, IL; Herman Preston, Leesburg, FL; and Carl Preston, Glendale, AZ; nine grandchildren and one great grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion C. and Clara Grigsby Preston of Pekin, IL, and four brothers: Francis Preston, Harry Preston, Earl Preston, and Jesse Preston. Dr. Ross was a prolific writer, having published twenty-one books, primarily Christian writings, inspired by many years involved in mission work in India. Dr. Ross was a member of Lindenwood Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Life Elder, and teacher of Carl Stokes and Friendship Sunday school classes. Burial will be in Jefferson City, MO, at Riverview Cemetery (Evangelical Section). A memorial service and visitation will be held at Lindenwood Christian Church, 2400 Union Ave, Memphis on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 11:00 a.m., followed by a reception in the foyer. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be sent to the Music Department at Lindenwood Christian Church.
