Pearl was born in Dyersburg, TN on September 23, 1933, one of three children born to the late Melton H. & Lillie Mae Moore.
She met, James L. Embry, her husband to be at Richwood Church where she drove a tractor to church every Sunday. She spent her life working in the grocery business. She started at A&P Grocery, then Big Star and finally Kroger from where she retired.
She and James loved to travel together. They went to California several times to visit her uncle and aunt, and also went to Hawaii.
Along with her parents, Pearl was also preceded in death by her two brothers Holland and Homer Moore, her husband of over fifty years James L. Embry; and a great-grandson Chandler Baack.
Pearl's memory is carried on by her children Patricia (Harry) Stiles of Memphis, Tennessee and Kathy (Jim) Grubb of Athens, Alabama; grandchildren Garrett Grubb, Warren (Rachel) Stiles, Jeremy (Shanna) Baack, Lauren (Brian) Kenny, Thomas (Kaitlyn) ; great-grandchildren Theodore Grubb, Mackenzie, Piper, Gunner and Grace Baack, Emma and Declan Kenny, Oliver Shirley, Fletcher Stiles and Eva Stiles.
