Peggy Ann Crain Forsythe

Peggy Ann Crain Forsythe, 83, of Bartlett passed away Friday, October 18, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital-Bartlett. She was a retired bookkeeper and office manager for Walker Hall Investments and was previously employed with International Harvester. Mrs. Forsythe was a wonderful Christian woman, loved her church friends and family, was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church where she was a member of Women of the Word Sunday School Class and was involved with Women’s Ministry at Bellevue as well as Mid America Seminary. She also loved taking part with the Frayser Baptist Church Women’s Luncheon. Mrs. Forsythe exemplified a Proverbs 31 woman and desired everyone to come to know the salvation of Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Bogan and Evie Ella Grisham Crain; siblings, Jesse Crain Arquitt, Jamie Ward, Elizabeth Tummins and John Bogan Crain, Jr. Mrs. Forsythe is survived by her loving husband of 55 ½ years, Robert Eugene Forsythe, Sr; children, Dianne Dahlke of Bartlett, Robert Forsythe, Jr. of Collierville, Ginger Livingston of Collierville, Sandy Massey of Chattanooga, TN and Ruth Ann Dix of Bartlett; sisters, Carolyn Graves of Shinglehouse, PA and Nell Newman of Millington, TN; grandchildren, Blaire Lindsay, Ryne Dahlke, Tyler Massey, Andrew Livingston, Taylor Dix, Houston Massey and Peyton Dix; and expecting her first great grandson, Jackson Lindsay; numerous loving nieces and nephews. Mrs. Forsythe always had one favorite piece of advice to her children, “Always have a Sweet, Sweet Spirit”. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 pm, Monday, October 21, 2013 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd., Bartlett, TN. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at Bellevue Baptist Church Pollard Chapel-Cordova with the interment to follow at Memphis Memory Gardens. The family requests that memorials be sent to Bellevue Baptist Church.
