Peggy Louise Pickett

Peggy Louise Pickett, 87, of Bartlett, TN, passed away on May 4, 2025. She was born on August 8, 1937 in Madison County, Tennessee, to her loving parents, Carl and Delena McGill. Most of her youth was spent on the family's farm in Pinson, TN.

Peggy was devoted to her family, sharing 62 years of marriage with her late husband, Jerry Pickett, until his passing in 2019. Together, they built a life filled with love and cherished memories. She was a beloved mother to Garry Pickett (Teresa) of Bartlett, TN and Roger Pickett (Tricia) of Cordova, TN and a proud grandmother to Stephen Pickett (Jessica) of Munford, TN, Jon Pickett (Nicole) of Somerville, TN, Daniel Pickett of Cordova, TN and Joshua Pickett of Cordova, TN. Her love extended to the next generation, as she treasured her great-grandsons, Jack, Sam, and Lane.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Pickett, parents, Carl and Delena McGill, her brother, Tommy Carl McGill, and sister, Delois Yokobosky, but is lovingly remembered by her surviving sister, Cheryl Hearn of Henderson, TN.

A dedicated homemaker, Peggy was a talented cook who found joy in caring for her family. She had a passion for gardening, visiting with relatives and friends, shopping, and dining out. Her warmth, kindness, and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 Germantown Rd., Bartlett, TN 12:00 to 1:00 P.M with a graveside service to follow at this location.
