She is in her Heavenly home with her Lord and Savior with no pain or sadness.
She was born June 30th, 1928 to the late Milton and Susan Johnson in Tippah County, Mississippi. She lived in Memphis, Tennessee before moving to Hickory Withe, Tennessee in Fayette County for 35 years.
Mrs. Coursey was member of Hickory Withe Presbyterian Church. She retired from the Market Basket as a floral designer. She loved to work in her yard with her flowers plus taught herself to paint. She served her Lord Faithfully in whatever she did. She uplifted others and her light shined for her Redeemer.
Mrs. Coursey in survived by one sister, Lorene McElroy of Bartlett, and many nieces, nephews, and a host of many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Robert Gerald Coursey; her parents; one brother, Robert Johnson; and three sisters, Madeline Carter, Junie Mae Miller, and Elois Street. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 2:00pm on Sunday, June 27th at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd, Bartlett, TN. Services will follow at 2:00pm. Memorial donations can be made to Hickory Withe Presbyterian Church, Hickory Withe, Tennessee.
