Sara “Penny” Downing Prince, 72 of Memphis, Tennessee passed away Tuesday October 20, 2015 at Methodist Hospital Germantown after a long battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Horace “Buddy” Prince, daughters Kelly (Steve) Metaxas of Arlington, TN, Kimberly (Hal) Hallum of Lakeland, TN, her father Fred Downing of Memphis, TN and her sister, Susan (Paul) Holley of Florence, AL. She is also survived by her five grandchildren Stephanie Metaxas, Anna Metaxas, Maggie Hallum, Warren “Buddy” Hallum and Drew Hallum and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother Helen Downing. Any memorial donations can be sent to West Clinic in Memphis, Tennessee.
