STEWART W. WAUGH, 69, of Memphis, born September 16, 1942, passed away peacefully after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was the owner of Ranger Construction Co., Inc. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church. God ordained the date of birth and date of death but He gives us a choice in how we live the dash between the two. Stewart lived life to the fullest. He was a Christian man to whom God blessed with a unique gift to envision, draw and build. He had the God-given ability to see beauty in many projects he took on. He loved to sail, he loved to travel, and he loved French Raspberry pastry, beautiful sunrises and sunsets. In the business world he was highly respected and was fair and honest but ran a tight ship, so to speak, with a loyal crew. Previously he worked for Delta United Specialties, Inc., Binswanger Glass, H.C. Donnelly Consulting Engineer and Technical Services, Inc. 2709 USAF Vehicle Control. Group. He graduated from Treadwell High School in 1960, also attended MSU and Memphis Academy of Arts. Stewart is survived by his loving and faithful wife, Virginia “Ginger” Waugh; a brother, Gordon Waugh of Berkley, CA; two sons, Tony Sillyman (Charlotte), Randy Sillyman (Kim); daughters, Melody Waugh, Emily Zellner; seven grandsons, four granddaughters, and one great-granddaughter, other relatives and numerous friends. The family will receive friends from 12:30-2 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home on Germantown Rd., with services immediately following. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. As in Matt. 7:24. He was a man who built his house on the rock and not on the sand.
