Terry Lee Cottingham

Terry Lee Cottingham, age 72, of Memphis, Tennessee passed away on Monday, February 15, 2021. Terry was born May 20, 1948, in Troy, NC. He was retired from Civil Service and Memphis City Schools. Terry was a member of Faith Baptist Church where he was a deacon. He was a fan of the University of Memphis Tigers, University of North Carolina Tarheels basketball, and St. Louis Cardinal baseball.

Terry was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Mayberry and his father, Walker Cottingham, his stepfather, Tom Mayberry, and his stepmother, Charlotte Cottingham, and an infant sister Claire Mayberry. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Brenda Rhea Cottingham, his son, Jonathan Cottingham and his fiancé Shelby, his daughter, Julie Cottingham Simmons and her husband Randall, six grandchildren, two brothers, Ron Cottingham and Thomas Mayberry, and host of family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5pm until 7pm, Monday February, 22, 2021, at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133. A funeral service will be held at 2pm, on Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at Faith Baptist Church, 3755 N Germantown Pkwy, Bartlett, TN 38133.
