Thelma B. Morgan

Thelma Baughman Morgan, 94, of Lakeland, passed away on September 5, 2012 after a brief illness. Mrs. Morgan was a devoted Christian who was a Charter Member of Raleigh 7th Day Adventist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mattie Baughman and her sisters, Mary Cowgill and Jean Baughman. Her beloved husband, B.F. Morgan Jr. also preceded her in death 53 years ago. Mrs. Morgan leaves her loving daughters, Marsha Olds (Jerry) and Sandra Jones (Charley), both of Lakeland. In addition, she leaves five (5) grandchildren, Chuck Jones, Camille Nations (Randy), Tracey Fredette (Rick) and Chris Jones (Andrea). Also she leaves five (5) great-grandchildren, Aaron Nations, Lauren and Madeline Fredette and Michael and Nicholas Jones, and a sister, Aleen Mobley. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, and friends. Known as Mama “T” and “PePaw,” by her children, she was a loving and charitable individual. Mrs. Morgan graduated from Bartlett High School and retired from the U.S. Civil Service Administration. The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Three Angels Broadcasting Network (1-800-752-3226), 3ABN, P.O. Box 220, West Frankfort, IL. 62896. in memory of Mrs. Morgan.

Visitation will be held at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd. from 9-11am with a funeral beginning at 11am. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
