
Thomas Nash Watson, 85 of Bartlett passed away Tuesday evening, June 28th at Methodist University Hospital. Tom (as he was called by his friends) was a Navy Veteran and retiree from Southern College of optometry. He also worked for ITT Continental baking company and the U.S. Postal service and was a member of the Ellendale Church of Christ. Tom leaves behind his devoted wife of 62 years, Lorene and his son, Ira Watson and daughter-in-law, Kim of Bartlett, two Grandchildren, Christopher Lewis Watson and Crystal LeAnna Watson of Bartlett, his brother J.L. Watson of Kissimmee, Florida and two sisters Catherine Puckett of Powder Springs, Georgia and Frances Robison of Merrillville, Indiana, and many nieces and nephews. Thomas was born in 1925 in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm on Tuesday, July 5th at the Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens at 3700 N. Germantown Road. Funeral services will be at 10am, Wednesday, July 6th at the Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens on Germantown Road with burial, including full military honors, in the adjacent Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
