Timothy "Tim" Dwayne Foster

Timothy “Tim” Dwayne Foster, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on January 24, 2026, at the age of 67. Born on April 4, 1958, to Odis and Sarah Foster in Memphis, Tennessee, Tim was known by all who knew him as loyal, kind-hearted, honest, and steady in everything he did.

In 1976, Tim began his career at DuPont, where his work ethic, dedication, and perseverance defined him for more than four decades. After 42 “long” years of faithful service, he retired in December 2018, leaving behind a legacy of commitment and integrity.

On March 31, 1979, Tim married the love of his life, Nancy Ann Holt. Together they shared 46 years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion. They raised two children, Nicholas Blake Foster (Leslie) and Melinda Foster Alford (Grant). Tim was a proud and loving grandfather to Avery, Foster, Sadie, and Claire, who brought him endless joy.

Tim had a deep love for the New York Yankees and treasured time spent at Pompano Beach. One of his greatest joys was being on the water at Pickwick Lake and spending time with his Parrothead friends. An enthusiastic gardener, Tim took pride in growing vegetables and generously sharing the fruits of his labor with family and friends.

Tim was preceded in death by his father, Odis Foster, and his brother, Steve Foster. He is survived by his mother, Sarah Foster; his brother, Danny Foster (Nancy); his wife; his children; and his grandchildren.

Tim will be remembered for his steadfast love, quiet strength, and the deep devotion he had for his family and friends. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the love he leaves behind.

Services will be held at: Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens 3700 N. Germantown Pkwy Bartlett, TN 38133, Visitation will be Monday February 2, 2026 from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral service will be Tuesday February 3, 2026 at 10am with graveside to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
