Mrs. Valeska H. Faircloth, 90, of Cordova passed away Monday, June 6, 2016 at Memphis Jewish Home. She was a retired registered nurse beginning her career with the John Gaston Hospital-Memphis, pioneered polio nursing in the early 1950’s, retired from Methodist North Hospital where she was the Director of Nursing and was a member of Raleigh United Methodist Church. Mrs. Faircloth was preceded in death by her husband, Henry B. Faircloth; sister, Judith Kiger; and is survived by her daughter, Gale Brown (Phillip) of Cordova; son, Richard Faircloth (Dana) of Cordova; sister, Frances “Re” Tidwell of Florida; grandchildren, Greg Brown (Amanda) of Collierville, Hope Shelton (Jason) of Melbourne, Australia; great-grandchildren, Makenzie Brown, Maddox Brown and Birdie Shelton; loving nieces, nephews and their families. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:30 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd, Bartlett, TN with a graveside service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Gardens.
