Vernon "Bill" Robert aka "Daddy" Yow, 87, of Bartlett, Tennessee passed away Thursday, February 1, 2018. He was born November 29, 1930 in Memphis, Tennessee. Bill was an avid golfer winning many tournaments and golfing contests throughout his life. A very religious person, Bill read his bible daily and supported his church, Ellendale Church of Christ, faithfully. He was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters, Woodrow L. Yow, Melvin E. Yow, Eugene E. Yow, Millard L. Yow, Jr., Margarite S. Yow-Evans, Addie Mae (Doll) Yow-Hanson; parents, Millard L. Yow and Addie Mae Goolsby-Yow. Bill is survived by one brother, Ezra Adolf "Brownie" Yow, six children: Brenda (David), Robbie (Trish), Renee, Zach (Kim), Robin (Billy), Eric (Erin); 27 grandchildren and a host of great and great-great grandchildren; and his former wives, Twila L. Hanisco and Elizabeth Goodman-Yow. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 4, 2018 at Ellendale Church of Christ, 7365 U.S. Hwy 70, Bartlett, TN with the interment to follow at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd., Bartlett, TN.
