Victor Andrew “Pappy” Cobb, 62, of Memphis, formerly of Knoxville, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2015. He was an R.N. for 30 years and worked for University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville for 24 of those. He was also a licensed electrician and could fix anything. Mr. Cobb leaves his soulmate of 35 years, Susan Hannah Cobb; his daughter, Michele Cobb Ehrhart (Ryan) of Memphis; a son, Andy Cobb (Stephanie) of Knoxville; two sisters, Barbara “Babs” Harper (Nolen) of Savannah, GA and Margaret Maggie Ellis of Burksville, KY; four grandchildren, Aeneas, Isis, Brady and Lauren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Forrest Cobb and a sister, Gidget Bodrey. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5-7 p.m., Thursday evening, August 20 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd. Bartlett, TN. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, August 21 at the funeral home. Memorial gifts may be made to either St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to Lebonheur Children’s Medical Center.
